Squirrel Pin: Well, first off thanks for the interview. Second, I am so cute I can hardly get over myself. Third, great going on how you used recycled cereal box cardboard using your kewl colored pencil techniques and glazing so I am like a piece of stained glass when propped next to a window.

Music lessons - i teach piano, guitar and fiddle

The music I teach is really based on expressive arts therapy – rather than focusing on an issue, we are focusing on moving energy, expressing our true nature and developing confidence. I love my music students - and building relationships of mutual respect.

My studio is in newburyport ~ i teach piano, guitar and fiddle and use a looper recording device to burn cds right there - especially when a student is ready to write something on the spot or put down a piece they have been working on for weeks or months or a year.

My studio hours run Tues - Saturday.

caution, if you let your fluff be over fluffly and out of control you might pick up some dust you are not happy with. better to keep your fluff in fluffly awareness and walk intentionally with joy.

Excited about Next Show

Weeellll, getting down to last week before hanging the carry out cafe show with Dan. Sure is fun working with him getting our guest list together and finishing details of the show. It would be nice to show every year with him!

Chameleon gallery is having their first ever flea market yard sale this March 20-22 so if you are in area of Newburyport on Liberty st around then, might be some really good deals to be found ~ artists that show here can bring up to 10 pieces, marked way down in boxes on the floor - i am still picking out what i might bring there tho' i am thinking about:

i am loving the way my work has been coming together for me. finally i am making sense of all the sketches that come to me and then how to combine them in a way with paint on a specially treated secret wood surface...chugging along.

these were my very first brood of chickens. i put in an order for 12 and got a great mixed batch; rhode islands red, a black chicken, a bunch of whites, some black and white and a beautiful rooster.
i kept them in the dining room that fall and winter, first in a big aquarium and then in a refrigerator wooden crate i fixed up with a hinged door so they could sit on the edge during the day. Once they were big enough i kept them on the enclosed front porch and they would look at me through the window.

blabbing on my blog

well, i have moved my 'art for sale' to my Etsy shop mostly www.tobinart.etsy.com/
my work can also be seen in person at my studio shop in Newburyport, mass and some work (right now 'Skipperke' is in the window) at The Chameleon Gallery on Liberty St. nbpt.

now, i am free to blah blah blah whatever here on my precious blog and not use it entirely for my online portfolio which is what i was doing but was jealous of all the folks that didnt. they just posted pictures and whatever else they felt like. now i get to be one of them. hooray!!!!
